Innovative systems for efficient and responsible water management
Resource saving, ecological and economically efficient

Whether through government regulations or taxes, or whether through privatization and thereby commercialization the (dwindling) global freshwater resources will become a more and more valuable asset. For economical and ecological reasons it is foreseeable that the cost of fresh water will significantly influence the value added chain in any production where the dwindling resource is a needed in higher amounts. One of the reasons why kolb already in 2006 developed the first neutral cleaner with patented TernarySequence® technology, which amongst others allows rinsing without water in automated stencil cleaning systems.

The use of aqueous alkaline cleaners however will still require rinsing with tap and / or DI water. This means that water management will become an important factor concerning products and tools cleaning in electronics production.

An internal rinsing water (ClosedLoop) processing cycle is integrated as a standard in all kolb cleaning systems with two or more separate circuits already. Here, the rinse water is reprocessed several times before it needs to be replaced.

Then it may be recycled for reuse in special (CrossLoop) WPCL units or processed for the discharge into the local sewage network (with WPSD modules), which is only allowed if the contamination is safely below legal limits. For both technologies kolb offers cost effective and compact modular systems which deliver best results.

kolb water management systems help conserve water and save waste disposal costs.

kolb water management systems

WPCL series

WPCL water management modules allow formanyfold reuse of the DI rinsing water (depending on the water quality requirement, which can be freely stored in the software) in the CrossLoop reprocessing process by means of bypass treatment via filter stages and adsorbers.

WPSD IU series

WPSD IU water management modules operate wastewater treatment (including pH value regulation) of heavy metal polluted rinsing water through various filter stages and adsorber cartridges to be indirectly discharged into the public sewage network, after approval by the local authorities.
